Swimming center

A floating swimming center is a great solution for urban areas. It can bring life to marinas, beach resorts or other shore areas and hotels. Building site with good locationcan be hard to find for this kind of projects on land and furthermore the water quality on the shore areas is beginning to be a problem.

In the general design the facades and the underside of the wooden canopy are covered with larch battening. Facade materials can differ depending on the place and needs. The buildings are kept warm in the winter and they are build from house modules, a building method especially developed for floating structures. The house pontoons and the house modules are lifted and assembled together on the shore. The finished swimming center is towed to place, access jetties and bridges are installed and connections to the municipal systems are done. The floating swimming center is anchored to place with flexible Seaflex rubber cable anchors that allow the structure to move with the water level. All pontoon and anchoring structures are carefully designed according to the local conditions.
The floating swimming center is available in two sizes. The large swimming center has two pools, one for children, and large terraces. It is desigend for 200 people. The smaller swimming center is a smaller version of its bigsister, with one pool and a canopy made of white fabric.
