Marina Village Santalahti, Kotka

Town plan stage
The city of Kotka located in the Eastern part along Finland’s South coast is a truly traditional Finnish harbor town. It is a busy hub for several popular summer events, such as the Tall Ships Race, the Sea Festival known as Meripäivät and a wide array of sailing/boating and fishing events. From downtown Kotka it is only a stone’s throw to the picturesque setting of Santalahti (Sand Bay) which also happens to be the only vacation village with a five-star rating in Southern Finland. This is a dream place for the whole family to enjoy pristine maritime nature without compromises as to modern services.Next to the Santalahti boat marina a brand new Santalahti Marina Village is to be erected. The village will consist of one-storey pitched roofed floating houses with 1-2 apartments each. The wooden facades will be painted with traditional falu red paint so that the buildings fit beautifully to the finnish shoreline.
